I'm Blessed
I'm blessed that we have a garden.
This was one day's harvest. I like to harvest about every other day this time of summer.
I'm blessed we have good land to have a garden...
and that we are healthy enough to work in it.
I am so grateful for flowers. I read a study once that flowers had a similar effect on depression patients as some medications. I love having flowers in the house all summer long. Just looking at them and breathing in their perfume makes you breathe differently, and allows your brain to pause and enjoy the moment.
I'm thankful for the rain and the sun.
I'm blessed by the colors, the tastes, and the amazing smell of fresh produce in my kitchen.
We're so blessed.
(p.s. I have cucumbers to spare. Just sayin...)
If you'd like to share something God has blessed you with this last week, please share. I love pictures, so a link is great...otherwise feel free to leave a comment. God is so good to us and I never, ever want to lose sight of that.

I'm in need of cukes...just sayin'. :) Too bad we live so far away. Our cukes didn't do so well this year. Neither did our zucchini. I'm hoping to find someone with extras of that, but so far no luck. What a great post!
I finally remembered (and had time!) early enough in the day to participate!
I was reading Our Daily Bread at http://odb.org and it was talking about God's embroidery, His creation. This picture on your blog today is a classic example of God's embroidery. I'm blessed to be His child!
Thanks for hosting this Gretchen. I've been blessed by reading your posts.
Your garden looks like it's doing wonderful. I have wonderful looking pepper plants and not a single pepper on them. I'm thinking I need more sun.
I too am blessed with a bountiful garden. Coincidentally, I just posted today about making refrigerator pickles to use up all those cucumbers: http://saltinsuburbia.blogspot.com/2011/08/cool-cukes.html
BTW, your cukes look so beautiful and straight! Do you grow straight eights or a different variety?
i am blessed that my son is healing fine from his tonsillectomy. we are getting there, and some days that is enough.
